Previous exploration work over the area of the Koongie Park property is recorded in GSWA open file reports, which have been compiled and summarised by AAR (Ward, 2017), cataloguing exploration activity for all metals in the project area since the early 1960s. Earlier summaries of exploration work were written by Berg (2002), Mattinson (2003), and Komyshan (2011).
